We are conducting a confidential search for a Chief Financial Officer to support a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the health and wellness of Central Florida. The Company works alongside community partners to provide resources, education, and support services that address critical health needs and create lasting change.
Summary
Seeking an experienced CFO to lead financial strategy and operations, supporting the company's mission to enhance community health. Key responsibilities include managing audits, directing the Accounting Department, overseeing budgets and financial reports, and providing financial insights for strategic decision-making. The CFO will also collaborate on investment management, participate in grant evaluations, and ensure regulatory compliance. A primary responsibility will be fee-for-service billing of federal grants and grant management and reporting.
This is an in-office position based on the east side of Central Florida. The position reports to the Executive Director with an expected salary range of $75k - $95k commensurate with experience. Relocation reimbursement up to $5k may be available.

Essential Job Functions
- Participate, plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the organization’s fiscal function and performance.
- Oversee and ensure accuracy of all audit and tax reporting for all departments.
- Oversee operations of the Accounting Department, which include accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, payroll and human resources.
- Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; and implement a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk and improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the corporation.
- Participate in the grant making process by evaluating financial viability of recipients. Prepare reports to the Board regarding grant awards and available funds.
- Oversee the production of periodic financial reports. Ensure that reported results are accurate and comply with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards.
- Provide timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports and financial trends in order to assist the Executive Director and the Board in performing their responsibilities.
- Produce the annual budget and forecasts; and report significant budget differences to the Executive Director.
- Provide continual improvement of all financial, reporting and budgeting processes through collaboration with staff and department directors.
- Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision making issues affecting Company, such as new programs and strategies, evaluation of potential alliances and acquisitions.
- Optimize the handling of bank, deposit, and investment management relationships. Initiate appropriate strategies to enhance financial position.
- Act as an advisor on contracts and pricing decisions into which the corporation may enter.
- Provide professional and personal growth opportunities for the assigned team.
- Participate in grant oversight by completing the required financial reports.

Qualifications
- Master’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field required. CPA preferred.
- 5 or more years of progressive accounting and professional fiscal management experience, preferably in a nonprofit or healthcare setting.
- Fee-for-service billing of federal grants and grant management and reporting strongly preferred.
- Healthcare reimbursement experience preferred.
- Experience with grant management and compliance preferred.
- Demonstrated success in leading and managing teams.
