H.I.S. Painting seeks a Receptionist to join our team. In this position you will perform clerical duties to support the organization, including answering telephones, typing or word processing, office machine operation, and filing. This is an in-office position. Expected pay range is $16 - $18 per hour.
Requirements
- Minimum one year of relevant experience and/or training.
- Pass an entry drug screen and all subsequent drug tests during employment.
- Able to effectively and efficiently communicate in person and via phone and e-mail.
- Able to set priorities, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, and adapt to an ever-changing workload.
- Must be a self-motivator with good initiative, flexibility, and strong organizational skills.
- Possess excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Able to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments.
- Must be able to work well as a team player and interact well within a group.
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Products.
Responsibilities
- Operate office equipment, such as fax, copiers, phone systems and arrange for repairs when equipment malfunctions
- Answer telephone, take messages, or transfer calls to appropriate individuals.
- Maintain established office files (electronic and hardcopy) and records.
- Greeting visitors or callers in a professional manner and handle their inquiries or direct them to the appropriate persons according to their needs, may resolve routine inquiries.
- Open, sort, and distribute incoming correspondence, including faxes and email, and prepare outgoing mail.
- Type material from rough drafts or revised typed drafts following standardized formats using word processing equipment.
- Draft and type routine letters and memoranda from specific instructions.
- Publish internal and external communications (i.e. company newsletters, vendor newsletters, etc.).
- Handle the ordering, receiving, stocking, and distribution of office supplies.
- Mail out and have cards signed by office staff for employee birthdays and work anniversaries.
- Make travel arrangements for employees as needed.
- Perform general data input and other duties as assigned.
- Refill and reconcile dollar amounts from the vending machine.
- Stock copy room paperwork for field workers.
- Sort and distribute paystubs.
- Create business cards for management.
- Consistent attendance is required.
- Complete all mandatory training.
- Maintain the work area in safe and clean condition.
